You can only starve your body for so long and after that, the body’s survival mechanisms kick in. With self-induced hunger, you are likely to experience heightened cravings and sometimes eating low-fat foods actually increases your hunger. Therefore, focus on eating enough to satisfy your appetite and do not eat 3 hours before bed. Finally, make sure your meals balance out insulin and sugar levels.
