I have found that one of the best things I can do for my body each day is to drink a glass of warm lemon water before I do anything else. I even drink it BEFORE I put my beloved coffee to my lips! That should tell you something.

Drinking lemon water has many health benefits, but for me,  the most important is how it helps flush out my liver, which is the body’s filter. By flushing your liver, it gives it the opportunity to work at an optimal level to remove toxins. Other benefits include proper kidney and digestive tract function.

Child’s Pose (Balasana)

Benefits: This pose helps to release neck, shoulder, and upper back strain. Additionally, it can help to calm the nervous system through steady, conscious breathing.


How to Do It: Kneel on the floor and sit on your heels. Allow yourself to bend forward and relax into the stretch. You can either rest your chest on your thighs or you can spread your knees out to the sides, keeping your feet together, and lower your torso towards the ground. Your arms can either be stretched out in front of you or reaching back towards your feet.
